Hearn spoke on the potential agreement with Saudi Arabia in an interview with Samina For Sale, citing the success of prior fights like the Ruiz and Usyk matchup. Given the financial parameters both fighters are demanding, he expressed confidence that the Saudis would still stage the Joshua-Wilder matchup if the Fury-Usyk match failed to materialise. Hearn emphasised how crucial it was to book the Wilder bout first before figuring out who would challenge Joshua in August.

Hearn is fascinated by the thought of a fight with Whyte, but he is aware of the dangers involved in facing such a strong opponent before what could be a career-defining contest with Wilder. Despite some worries that Whyte’s recent performances signal a decline—he was knocked out by Tyson Fury and Alexander Povetkin—there are many who question Joshua’s victory over Franklin. The American says the British judges “robbed” him.
