Boxing Tonight: Boxing News: Tuesday will see Naoya Inoue take on Stephen Fulton for his unified super-bantamweight championships in an attempt to become a four-division champion. Follow Boxing News Updates with InsideSports.IN.
Inoue, 30, most recently won the undisputed title at bantamweight. He previously held a world title at light-flyweight and unified gold at super-flyweight. The “Monster,” who is pound-for-pound No. 1 in Indy Sport, has since relinquished his unchallenged titles in order to compete against Fulton in a higher class.

The 29-year-old American Fulton, who is undefeated like his opponent today, will take the WBC and WBO titles with him to Tokyo this week, where Inoue awaits.
Last time, Inoue sparred with Paul Butler in December before dispatching the Brit to win the bantamweight title. Fulton most recently competed in June, defeating David Roman to keep his super-bantamweight titles.
The undisputed welterweight championship will be decided in Saturday’s fight between Errol Spence Jr. and Terence Crawford, but Tuesday morning will feature a “big fight” fit for a true fight fan when top pound-for-pound fighter Naoya Inoue moves up to super bantamweight to face WBC and WBO champion Stephen Fulton in Tokyo.

For years, Inoue has been regarded as one of the best and most powerful fighters in the sport. Inoue won the WBC title at 108 pounds in only his sixth fight, then two fights later, at 115 pounds, he claimed the WBO belt. With 14 of his first 16 professional fights ending in TKOs, it was evident that Inoue was a unique fighter with outstanding stopping ability after seven successful title defences.
