Bengaluru Open 2024, Day 4 Round-up: Sumit Nagal & Ramanathan-Myneni move to QF

Three Indian players were in action today. Sumit Nagal made it to the quarterfinals in singles, while Ramkumar Ramanathan and Saketh Myneni reached the last eight in doubles.

Indian players have continued to impress at the Bengaluru Open 2024. With 8 matches (4 singles and 4 doubles) scheduled to be played at the Karnataka State Lawn Tennis Association (KSLTA), all three Indians tasted victory and moved to the quarterfinals on Day 4 of the ATP Challenger 100 tournament.

Today was a great day for the seeds at the Bengaluru Open. In singles, all three seeds moved to the next round. Second seed and India’s top-ranked singles player, Sumit Nagal, beat Hong Kong’s Chak Lam Coleman Wong, while Adam Walton, Moez Echargui, and Stefano Napolitano also made their way to the quarterfinal.

In doubles, Ramkumar Ramanathan and Saketh Myneni knocked out German duo Jakob Schnaitter and Mark Wallner and made their way to the semifinals.

Kaichi Uchida and Francis Alcantara beat Adam Walton and Tristan Schoolkate (1-6, 6-2, 10-7)

[2] Matthew Christopher Romios and Piotr Matuszewski beat Benjamin Bonzi and Geoffrey Blancaneaux (6-3, 7-5)

Maxime Janvier and Constantin Bittoun Kouzmine beat Oriol Roca Batalla and Moez Echargui (1-6, 6-2, 10-5)
