The new edition of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL 2024) is set to kick off on October 18 (Friday). Over the years, PKL has gained a lot of popularity amongst the fans and the craze for Pro Kabaddi League continues to grow. On that note, let us check out the social media followers of all 12 teams to find out which team is winning the digital fan battle.

Haryana Steelers (605.1 K followers)

The Haryana Steelers made it to the final of the last PKL edition. Though they couldn’t secure their first title, they gained a lot of respect and attention. Their social media following, especially on Instagram and Facebook, has seen steady growth, with fans showing support for their rising stars.

UP Yoddhas (666.4 K followers)

Despite a poor performance last season, UP Yoddhas fans have stuck by them, hoping for a turnaround in the upcoming edition of the PKL. A few wins early in the season could help increase engagement across platforms. With the fanbase that UP Yoddhas have in Uttar Pradesh, there’s a significant opportunity to expand their reach in the PKL 2024.

Gujarat Giants (748 K followers)

Gujarat Giants have been a consistent team in the PKL, regularly making the playoffs but falling short of winning the title. This consistency has earned them a loyal fanbase, though they haven’t been able to convert this into a massive following on social media compared to some of the bigger teams.

Tamil Thalaivas (867 K followers)

Though they’ve struggled in past seasons, the Tamil Thalaivas have the potential to increase their social media reach. A successful campaign this season could result in a sharp rise in followers across all platforms.

Telugu Titans (912.3 K followers)

Telugu Titans have had several challenging seasons, but their fanbase has remained loyal. Their social media following reflects their dedicated supporters, especially on Facebook and X. With Hyderabad being one of the host cities for PKL 11, the team has a golden opportunity to re-energize their fanbase, particularly with the addition of star raider Pawan Sehrawat, who will captain the side this season.

Bengal Warriorz (1.031 M followers)

With veteran Fazel Atrachali leading the defense and Maninder Singh spearheading the raids, the Warriors are looking for a comeback in PKL 11, which could reignite the excitement among their supporters. If they manage to find form, their follower count is expected to grow further. The team’s previous success means that there’s always hope for them to return to the top.

Dabang Delhi KC (1.178 M followers)

Dabang Delhi KC, the champions of PKL 8, have built a loyal fanbase over the years, with Facebook being their strongest platform. Last season, even without star player Naveen Kumar for a significant part, they managed to remain competitive thanks to Ashu Malik’s outstanding performances. With both Naveen and Ashu fit and available for PKL 11, Dabang Delhi is expected to mount a serious challenge for the title again.

Jaipur Pink Panthers (1.248 M followers)

Jaipur’s strong social media presence, particularly on Instagram, allows them to connect with fans in unique ways. With their sights set on another title this season, the Pink Panthers are hoping that their on-court success will translate into even higher social media engagement.

U Mumba (1.404.2 M followers)

U Mumba’s strong social media following gives them a solid platform to build on. If they can find their rhythm on the mat this season, their fanbase will likely expand, helping them reclaim their status as one of the PKL’s most popular franchises.

Puneri Paltan (1.447.7 M followers)

Puneri Paltan, the defending champions of PKL 10, have a growing fanbase, especially on Instagram and Facebook. Pune is one of the three venues for PKL 11, which will give their fans a chance to see their home team in action. This is expected to further bolster their social media presence, especially with a strong team ready to challenge for back-to-back titles.

Patna Pirates (1.583 M followers)

Patna Pirates are the most successful team in PKL history, having won three championships. Their large following on X is a testament to their dominant performances in the past, and fans continue to support them, hoping for another title. The Pirates have struggled to replicate their earlier success in recent seasons, but they remain a strong team capable of turning things around.

Bengaluru Bulls (2.156.6 M followers)

Bengaluru Bulls have established themselves as one of the most popular teams in the Pro Kabaddi League. With over 2 million total followers, they enjoy a massive fanbase spread across various social media platforms. Their success in the league, including winning the title in Season 6, has earned them loyal fans who engage with the team actively, particularly on Instagram and Facebook.
