Badou Jack hints at possible fight with Canelo Alvarez to be his next
Badou Jack is the current WBC cruiserweight champion. Earlier this year, he won the WBC Cruiserweight title against Ilunga Makabu in Saudi Arabia. The 39 year-old fighter is ready to face Alvarez in a catchweight bout and he would stand as a strong opponent.
Recently, he reacted towards one of the Instagram stories and reposted it which featured Alvarez vs Jack. His latest Instagram story has assured fans about his next fight against the undisputed super middleweight champion.
Considering this bout, Canelo Alvarez and Badou Jack are two different fighters from different weight classes. The Mexican native has never competed above 175 pounds and holds more than 4 titles in the middleweight division. On the other hand, Badou Jack has tipped his weight in the cruiserweight division around 198.5 to 200 pounds. With such a difference in weight classes, this fight is almost hard to consider until both fighters compete in a catchweight bout around 185 lbs.
Jack Badaou (28-3) could fight Canelo Alvarez next if both fighters agree to a catchweight bout. Currently, this is the only issue before Badou Jack which might bother him to fight the Mexican star. Moreover, Amer Abdallah, head of Skill Challenge Entertainment quoted the weight issue which puts this fight on hold.
Canelo’s last win was against John Ryder in May 2023. Do you think he will compete in his next match against Badou Jack? Tell us in the comments.
