Badminton World Tour Final Draws – HS Prannoy World Tour Finals: The much-awaited BWF World Tour Finals starts today. In the Men’s Singles, India’s lone entrant HS Prannoy finds himself in the draw that also has World No.1 and defending champion Viktor Axelsen. The 30-year-old starts off against Japan’s Kodai Naraoka in GROUP-A match in Bangkok. BWF World Tour Finals Men’s Singles Draw:

Group A: Viktor Axelsen (DEN), HS Prannoy (IND), Kodai Naraoka (JPN), Lu Guangzu (CHN)

Group B: Chou Tien Chen (TPE), Jonatan Christie (INA), Loh Kean Yew (SGP), Anthony Sinisuka Ginting (INA)

Badminton Word Tour Final Draws: HS Prannoy drawn alongside World No.1 Viktor Axelsen in BWF World Tour finals 2022 – Check Out

30-year old HS Prannoy has advanced to his maiden BWF World Tour finals by finishing third in the race to the season final. He is the lone Indian to qualify for the event this year as PV Sindhu has withdrawn as she is still recovering from an ankle injury sustained at the Commonwealth Games.

In his maiden appearance in the tournament, Prannoy is placed alongside World No.1 Viktor Axelsen, who leads Group A. Apart from Axelsen and Prannoy, the group also has Kodai Naraoka of Japan and Lu Guangzhu of China.

Meanwhile the other group in the Men’s Singles is led by Chinese Taipei’s Chou Tien Chen. It also features Indonesia’s Jonatan Christie and Anthony  Ginting. 2021 World Champion Loh Kean Yew of Singapore, who will be making his maiden appearance in the BWF World Tour finals also finds himself in the group.

Women’s singles Group A sees several blockbuster clashes with Top seed Chen Yu Fei, South Korea’s An Se Young, Japan’s Akane Yamaguchi and Indonesia’s Gregoria Tunjung all grouped together. In the Group B, Chinese Taipei’s Tai Tzu Ying, China’s He Bing Jiao and Thailand’s Ratchanok Intanon, Busanan Ongbamrungphan are all grouped together.

Day 1 competition begins 11am on Wednesday 7 December 2022. The knockout draw for the semifinals will take place on Friday evening at the conclusion of the final group matches.
