Tennis star Novak Djokovic begins his Australian Open in splendid style. The current World Number 1 breezed past Dino Prizmic in 6-2,6-7,6-3,6-4 to win the first round of Australian Open. Prizmic came back by winning the second set but, the current champ proved too difficult as the Serbian won the third and fourth sets in style to secure his win.
Heading into the tournament as the favorite, Djokovic didn’t disappoint. He won the first set 6-2, without giving any to his opponent. Forged by multiple aces and less faults, Novak Djokovic took little time to win the first set.
Things however took a sharp turn in the second set. Dino Prizmic fought back hard. He went toe-to-toe with the Serbian star. In a thrilling tie-breaker it was Prizmic who bettered Djokovic to win the set 7-6 (7-5). With the game tied at 1 set apiece, Novak roared back into form.
He showcased his immaculate playing style to rout his opponent. He easily went on to win the third set 6-3. The fourth set of the match was no different. While Prizmic made a last dash to comeback into level terms, Djokovic’s was far superior. The Champ finished the set 6-4 to secure a win and head into the next stage of the tournament.
