He won the match 6-3, 6-2, 3-6 and 6-3 in 2 hours and 55 minutes at Rod Laver Arena. The win sets him up for the Australian Open Final with 21^st Grand Slam to play for in the final game. He is currently level with Roger Federer & Novak Djokovic. The Spaniard will next face the winner of Daniil Medvedev vs Stefanos Tsitsipas.

He beat Stefanos Tsitsipas in a gripping contest that lasted around 3 hours. 3^rd seed Stefanos Tsitsipas started the game on a high note but lost the tie-breaker from 4-1 lead. He, however, bounced back to level up by taking the second set. As the game progressed, he failed to match the Russian in the battle for the finals.
