- She has sailed through all the rounds in the tournament with consummate ease and looks to be playing in a different league altogether.
- An opponent like Maddison Keys, who herself was on a hot streak in 2022 with a ten-match win streak before the semis, couldn’t stand a chance to challenge Barty at any moment in the match.
- She looks all set for an incredible title victory at her home but has to go past a strong opponent in Danielle Collins.
- In the semi-final against Swiatek, she raced to a 4-0 lead with a double break in the first set.
- However, she allowed the Polish seventh seed to make a comeback by losing three service games. She then came back to clinch the first set.
- In the next game too she raced to a 4-0 lead, but this time allowed her opponent to win only one game as she won the match 6-4, 6-1 to make her maiden appearance in a Grand Slam final.

It has been such a journey, it doesn;t happen overnight.
