World No.9 HS Prannoy is the sixth seed in the Men’s Singles in the tournament. He is set to begin his campaign by facing Hong Kong’s Lee Cheuk Yiu in the opening round. Much recently he lost in the second round at the Korea Open against the Hong Kong players. Prannoy now eye for a revenge and will also be wary of the challenge.

Lakshya Sen is also placed in the same quarter and he begins his campaign against fellow Indian Kiran George. Lakshya Sen has been in good touch with semifinal appearances in his last two tournaments. Those performances helped him rise up to the 11th spot in the rankings.

Priyanshu Rajawat and Kidambi Srikanth find themselves in the second quarter of the draw. Rajawat faces Australia’s unseeded wildcard entrant Nathan Tang in the opening round. Srikanth meanwhile will be up against Japan’s Kenta Nishimoto. This is a relatively easier quarter as it does not have any seeded player.
