Australian Open 2023: Novak Djokovic cruises to Round 2 on his comeback
Novak Djokovic received a warm welcome on his comeback to Melbourne Park. The Serbian started the match with an ace against Carballes Baena. The former World No 1 went on to win the match 6-3, 6-4, 6-0. The Serbian is looking for his 21st Grand Slam title after failing to defend his title last year. Last year Djokovic was deported before the start of the tournament for staying unvaccinated. He was handed a three-year ban from traveling to Australia. However, the decision was overturned and he was allowed to compete in this year’s tournament.
