Mitchell Starc is the latest in Australia’s list of injuries. The left-arm pacer dislocated his finger while fielding and bowled through the pain during the Boxing Day Test match. The 32-year-old did not stop even after he was bleeding, with blood stains all over his trousers.

While the severity of the same is unknown, he is likely to miss the 3rd Test. Starc’s fitness will be a huge cause of concern given the Border Gavaskar Trophy in India. The Aussies play 4 Tests in India starting in February. Starc forms a key part of their bowling arsenal.

Australia tour of India 2023 will feature four test matches and three ODIs. The Border Gavaskar trophy will kickstart in Nagpur on 9th February 2022. Team India will then play the next three Test matches in Delhi, Dharamsala & Ahmedabad. This will also be the last edition of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy which will be a 4-match Test series feature. Pat Cummin’s led side is currently placed at the top of the WTC points table with 120 points followed by India with 99 points.
