Andrey Rublev started the match positively as he broke Tsitsipas’ first service game in the match and began the match on a postive note. That early break was more than enough for the Russian as he held on to all of his service games to grab the first set 6-4 with utmost ease. In the second set, Tsitsipas ensured he didn’t let anything slip away as he made a good comeback in the contest. Both the players won their first four service games and the Greek soon took lead in the contets as he found a clinched a crucial break over his opponent and went on to win the second set 6-4.
In the third set too both the players fought well as they grabbed their first three service games each. Leading 4-3, however Tsitsipas yet again managed to break Rublev as he didn’t let the Russian score even a single point in his serve to take a big 5-3 lead in the decoder. He then won his next service game to clinch the contest.

“I hit with a lot of variation and mixing and it went my way towards the end,” Tsitsipas said in his on-court interview. “I stayed completely within my game. There were a few things I worked out.
“I kept pursuing those shots with a lot of passion and determination. It was not easy, being a set down. To have to deal with a very good opponent on the other side of the net made it an extremely physically battle. I am pleased with myself for being so determined to make it work so well.” With his victory, Tsitsipas has improved to 6-4 in his ATP Head2Head series against the World No. 9 Rublev.
