The Asian Shooting Championships is seeing India produce some good results, but an untoward incident seems to be taking a bit of sheen from it. After India secured two Paris 2024 Olympic quotas at the event, a report has surfaced, that suggests, that an Indian shooter at the event, has been excluded from the team due to an allegation of sexual harassment.
While the name of the shooter remains undisclosed, as per The Tribune, the shooter in question was supposed to participate in 25m rapid-fire event. And now the shooter has also been replaced. Interestingly, the shooter was not present at the preparatory camp as well, at the Karni Singh Shooting Range from December 29 to January 4.

Meanwhile, the NRAI, on its part, issued an email stating that the shooter was axed for the same. “This is true that we have replaced a shooter for the Asia Olympics qualifiers. He went missing from the national camp for days,” NRAI secretary general K Sultan Singh told The Tribune.
