Asian Para Games LIVE: With 82 medals, India records highest-ever medals tally

With two more days left in the Games, the country is on course to achieving its target of 100 medals in this Hangzhou edition.

The medal rush continues for the fourth day of the Asian Para Games in Hangzhou, China. Sachin Khilari bagged the gold medal in the Men’s Shotput F46 event on Thursday, 26th October. In shooting 50m Rifle prone, Sidhartha Babu added another gold medal to India’s tally. With that India has registered its best ever show in the history of the Asian Para Games with a total of more than 73 medals.

The compound mixed team of Sheetal Devi and Rakesh Kumar won a gold after defeating their Chinese counterparts Lin Yueshan and Ai Xinliang 151-149 in the final.

India’s medal tally read 18 gold, 23 silver and 341 bonze, and the count will keep on increasing till the end of the fourth day of competitions. With two more days left in the Games, the country is on course to achieving its target of 100 medals in this Hangzhou edition.
