Badminton – India vs South Korea LIVE – Prannoy has given India 1-0 lead in the tie. In Tennis, Rohan Bopanna and Rutuja Bhosle won the Mixed Doubles title at the Asian Games. The duo clinched a come-from-behind win against Chinese Taipei’s En-shuo Liang and Tsung-hao Huang in the final on Saturday, 30th September. The duo bagged India’s ninth gold medal at Hangzhou.
Earlier, Indian shooters Sarabjot Singh and Divya TS bagged the silver medal in 10m Air Pistol Mixed team event on Saturday, 30th September. India’s weighlifter Mirabai Chanu endured a poor outing at the Asian Games. The Tokyo Olympic silver medallist failed to seal a podium finish and ended up in the fourth place in the final. The day is also set to witness Indian vs Pakistan clash in Hockey. The contest between the arch-rivals will begin at 6.15 PM IST.

Playing in his last Asian Games, Rohan Bopanna will want to sign off with a gold medal. Having lost in the first round at the Men’s Doubles, Bopanna has made it to the final in the only other event for him at the Asiad. Along with Rutuja Bhosale, the pair will take on Chinese Taipei’s Tsung-hao Huang and En-shuo Liang.
The second seeded Indian pair defeated another Chinese Taipei duo in Hao-ching Chan and Yu-hsiou Hsu in the semifinal. Rohan Bopanna won the gold medal at Jakarta in 2018 Asian Games in Men’s Doubles. He now targets his second gold at the Asiad. For Rutuja, it will be her maiden appearance in the final.

Both India and Pakistan are undefeated in three matches so far in the group stage. The arch-rivals will take on each other in what is expected to be a high-voltage clash at the Asian Games. India enter the contest after a 4-2 win over Japan. Pakistan meanwhile sealed a 18-2 win over Uzbekistan in their previous encounter.
High on form and confidence, both the teams will look to continue their winning momentum. The winner will seal the spot at the top of the table. Both the teams recently met at the Asian Champions Trophy in Chennai. India won the contest 4-0.
