Indian shooters have bagged another gold for the country at the Asian Games. Sarabjot Singh, Shiva Narwal and Arjun Singh Cheema finished on top of the podium in the Men’s 10m pistol shooting team event on Thursday, 28th September. With the result, Indian shooters have so far won four gold medals in this edition of the Asiad.

The Indian trio with a total score of 1734, pipped China by just a solitary point. Sarabjot led India with 580 points to his name. Arjun bagged 578 points. While Shiva earned 576 points. Sarabjot and Arjun finished fifth and eighth respectively and have qualified for the final. Shiva meanwhile ended up on the 14th spot.
Initially, the Indians started the proceedings slowly. By the half-way mark they were at the sixth position. However the trio bounced back towards the end of the qualification and bagged the gold medal.

Rich haul of medals in shooting
The sport has also given India four silver and five bronze medals. India’s Women pistol shooting team had also won gold medal in this edition. Manu Bhaker, Esha Singh and Rhythm Sangwan sealed a top of the podium finish on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, Sift Kaur Simra bagged the gold in Women’s 50m Rifle 3 positions. Earlier, India’s Aishwary Pratap Singh, Divyansh Panwar and Rudrankksh Patil won gold in the 10m air rifle event.
