Anthony Joshua vs Robert Helenius Purse and Payouts: Boxing News: The boxing event that fans have been eagerly awaiting this weekend has taken an unexpected turn. Anthony Joshua’s scheduled fight against Dillian Whyte has undergone a significant alteration due to Whyte’s failed drug test. In his place, Robert Helenius has stepped in to face Joshua. This change in the lineup has also led to a shift in the event itself, with it moving from a pay-per-view (PPV) format to a non-PPV setup. As a result of these changes, the earnings for both fighters, Joshua and Helenius, have been impacted. Now, let’s delve into the details of the revised purse for the Joshua vs. Helenius match.

Anthony Joshua is set to make his comeback in the ring, with his rescheduled fight against 39-year-old Finnish boxer Robert Helenius. The purse payouts for the Joshua vs. Helenius match have been detailed based on their contracts with the boxing promotion.

As reported by sportspayouts, Joshua’s guaranteed purse for the fight is £8 million. He had a contract that allowed him to earn additional money from pay-per-view shares. If the pay-per-view sales had exceeded 800,000, his earnings could have gone up to £16 million. However, since the event is no longer a pay-per-view, his earnings will remain at the guaranteed £8 million.

Meanwhile, due to the change in event format from pay-per-view to non-pay-per-view, the potential for pay-per-view share revenue no longer applies. As a result, Helenius’s earnings will remain at the guaranteed purse of £1.5 million for the fight. Or else it would have crossed £3 million.

The event’s excitement certainly diminished when Whyte withdrew, resulting in less buzz around it. Despite the financial setback, both fighters are still going ahead with the match. This indicates that their motivation isn’t solely about money, but rather a display of their passion for the sport and a desire to showcase their skills and dominance in the ring.
