Britain’s Andy Murray has confirmed that the Paris Olympics would be his last tournament in what has been a studded career. The tennis ace informed of choice while stating that his participation as a part of England over the last few weeks meant a great deal to him. The former world number 1 was ruled out of the Wimbledon after undergoing a back operation.
Murray is the only men’s player to win back-to-back gold at the Games. He won gold medals and the 2016 Olympics in men’s single events.

Murray’s indication on retirement
When asked about what he meant when he said that he’ll not play for more than few months, the world No. 67 had said earlier:
“Yeah, I mean, I’m likely not going to play past this summer. I get asked about it after every single match that I play, every single tournament that I play. I’m bored of the question, to be honest. Yeah, I’m not going to talk more about that between now and whenever the time comes for me to stop. But yeah, I don’t plan on playing much past this summer.”
