TOP G has firmly established himself in the public spotlight thanks to his extreme right-wing views on women, excessive spending, and alleged criminal activity involvement. Undoubtedly, one of the most infamous and contentious influencers of our time is Andrew Tate.

The former kickboxer has been detained since his arrest on December 29, 2022. He has had his requests for release from custody turned down multiple times. In response to Tate’s imprisonment, his followers have grown quite loud.

As an “inclusive and supportive” network, TikTok claims to forbid content that “praises, promotes, glorifies, or supports any harmful ideology,” including misogyny. TikTok permanently banned two of the Andrew Tate supporters’ accounts. Also, the video-making platform took down the videos featuring Andrew Tate.

According to a news article in The Guardian, TikTok was eliminating “violent” accounts and content, such as misogynistic material and “copycat” accounts, violating impersonation policies.

Following similar actions by Instagram and Facebook, it said two weeks later that it had blocked an official account belonging to Tate for violating its policies on “material that insults, threatens, incites violence against, or otherwise dehumanizes an individual or a group.”
