When Tate and his brother were arrested in Romania on suspicion of engaging in human trafficking and rape, authorities took their possessions, including a high-end automobile and other expensive items.

Meanwhile, the Tate brothers have arrived at the DICOT offices on Thursday, where the prosecutors have completely seized the crypto currency that appears to be of significant value due to the investigation.

The two have appeared in court numerous times since being taken into custody at the end of December. According to the initial report, after numerous visits in regard to computer searches and other research on the file, this time they were brought back to widen the insurance seizure on cryptocurrency.

And now, 70 days have passed since their arrest. Although they were initially detained for 24 hours, the court granted Romanian authorities’ request for a 30-day extension. After that two similar petitions that were accepted one after the other, and Tate’s detention has since been extended by 90 days. While, Tate’s team has continuously lost appeals against the extensions.

Given that the authorities did not find any significant evidence during their investigation that would need them to stay in prison, it appears that he will be released before the end of this month. But if they find something, they will undoubtedly prolong the detention period.
