Teachers at a school in south London decided to give a presentation to a group of 14-year-olds after learning that some of the kids were voicing opinions they had learnt from Tate, a self-described misogynist with a sizable online following made up primarily of young men.
Questions like “Do we think he [Tate] is still harmless?” were reportedly posed to the group of approximately 30 kids. Likewise, “What happens if we listen to his messages?”
About ten of the students argued that women were to blame for their sexual assaults, a position promoted by Tate, as the discussion quickly devolved into one about rape.
The authorities felt like this was a serious issue and something needed to be done, to get the matter solved. To not let the society be a complete failed society.
