After winning PKL 11, Mohammadreza Shadloui opens up on his future with Haryana Steelers

Haryana Steelers' star player Mohammadreza Shadloui, reflects on their PKL 11 triumph and shares his excitement about continuing with the team for future seasons.

After winning their first-ever Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) title, Haryana Steelers celebrated the win with joy on Sunday at the Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex in Pune. The team beat Patna Pirates 32-23 in the Pro Kabaddi League Season 11 Final. Shivam Patare and Vinay were stars of the match, scoring 9 and 6 points. Mohammadreza Shadloui’s strong defence blocked Patna’s attack, scoring five successful tackles. Bringing Shadloui from Puneri Paltan proved to be a brilliant move, as he became an important players to lead the team forward. Shadloui was the top defender with 82 tackle points.

Shadloui’s plans for the Future

Looking ahead, Shadloui expressed his excitement for the team. He almost confirmed that he’ll be there in the team. “Haryana Steelers was a great team for me. We won the trophy and I hope to win again next year.” he said. Divyanshu praised the coach and captain. “Our coach is a great tactician, and Jaideep is a young, selfless captain. Their growth showed in the team’s performance.”

Team strategy and confidence

Captain Jaideep shared their approach before the final match: “We studied Patna’s game thoroughly and stuck to our plans. We promised the coach no mistakes.” Jaideep also responded to Patna’s raider Devank’s comments about wanting to ‘turn the page’: “They wanted to turn the page. We wanted to tear the book up. We were fully confident we would win.”

The victory was special for Coach Manpreet Singh, who had led the team to the finals last year but fell short. After the win, he expressed his joy. “This was a great journey. Our efforts turned our silver to gold. Watching young players grow and win was rewarding. He stated. The Steelers’ season-long dominance set them apart. They ranked first in the league stage and qualified early for the playoffs.
