Adelaide International LIVE: The first tournament of the upcoming ATP Tour is all set to kickstart. Adelaide International 1 will begin on 1st January 2023, that is set to feature a star-studded field. The combined ATP Tour 250 and WTA 500 tournament will be played on outdoor courts in Adelaide. This is the first of the two back-to-back tournaments as a week later the Adelaide International 2 will be played at the same venue. Novak Djokovic in first quarter
All eyes will be on Novak Djokovic as he is set to play his first match in Australia since 2020 Australian Open. The Serbian is the top seed in the Men’s Singles draws. He is in the first quarter and faces France’s Constant Lestienne in the first round.
The other seeded player in this quarter is Denis Shapovalov. The Canadian is the seventh seed. He will begin his campaign against a qualifier. Australia’s Jordan Thompson has received a wildcard entry and he finds himself in this quarter. He will be up against France’s Quentin Halys in the first round. Mikael Ymer meanwhile will face a qualifier in Round 1.
Daniil Medvedev headlines second quarter
Russian Daniil Medvedev is the third seed in the Men’s singles draw. He is placed in the second quarter. With this, there is a possibility of an exciting quarterfinal clash between Djokovic and Medvedev. However, before that Medvedev is set to begin his campaign by facing Lorenzo Sonego in the first round.
Medvedev’s compatriot Karen Khachanov is the other seeded player in this quarter. The eight seed will be up against Argentina’s Pedro Cachin in the first round. Jack Draper also finds himself in this quarter and he will be up against a qualifier. Other two players in thsi quarter are Miomir Kecmanovic and Christopher O’Connell.

Fourth seed Andrey Rublev and Sixth seed Jannik Sinner leads the third quarter of the draws. Andy Rublev will face a tough challenge from Spain’s Roberto Bautista Agut in the opening round of the tournament. Meanwhile, Jannuik Sinner begins his campaign against Kyle Edmund.
The other notable player in this quarter is Andy Murray. Murray faces USA’s Sebastian Korda in the first round. Meanwhile, defending champion Thanasi Kokkinakis is also in this tough quarter. He has received a wildcard and will face Maxime Cressy in the first round.

Ons Jabeur leads first quarter
World No.2 Ons Jabeur is aiming to continue her brilliant run on the ATP Tour. She is the top seed in the tournament and has received a bye from the first round. In the second round she is set to face the winner between Sorana Cirstea and Viktorija Golubic.
The quarter also has USA’s Danielle Collins, who is the fifth seed. Collins will face a tough challenge in the first round. She is drawn against reigning Wimbledon champion Elena Rybakina.
Daria Kasatkina and Anett Kontaveit in second quarter
Third seed Daria Kasatkina leads the second quarter. The Russian will be up against Linda Noskova in the first round. Sixth seed Anett Kontaveit is the only other seeded player in this quarter. She will face China’s Qinwen Zheng in the first round.
Victoria Azarenka is a notable name in this quarter. The Belarusian will be up against Ukraine’s qualifier Anhelina Kalinina in the opening round of the tournament. USA’s Claire Liu is another qualifier and she will begin action against Wildcard entrant Priscilla Hon.
Veronika Kudermetova placed in challenging third quarter
Fourth seed Veronika Kudermetova is the top seeded player in the third quarter of the draws. She faces Amanda Anisimova in the opening round of the tournament.
Jelena Ostapenko, the seventh seeded player is also part of this quarter. She faces Czech’s Karolina Pliskova in the first round. The winner of this encounter will be up against either Irina Begu or a qualifier in the second round. Meanwhile, Bianca Andreescu has advanced to the second round of the tournament.
Aryna Sabalenka headlines final quarter
Second seed Aryna Sabalenka will headline the final quarter of the draws. She has directly entered the second round. She will face the winner between Shuai Zhang and Liudmilla Samsonova in her tournament opener.
