Abha Khatua made history at the Federation Cup 2024 by shattering the women’s shot put national record previously held by Manpreet Kaur. With a remarkable throw of 18.41m in her fifth attempt, Khatua secured the gold medal, surpassing Manpreet’s record of 18.06m set in 2022.

Although Khatua narrowly missed out on the Paris Olympic qualification mark by 0.39cm, her outstanding performance underscores her potential as a top-tier athlete on the international stage.
