2 Olympic Bronze medals already in the bag. India’s golden girl Manu Bhaker will now be aiming for a third medal. The 22-year old went on to become the only Indian to win 2 medals in a single edition of Olympics. With how things are progressing she can be well in line to win her third.
Manu Bhaker clinched her first bronze in the 10 m Air Pistol finals. She then lifted her second alongside Sarabjot Singh in the 10 m Air Pistol mixed finals. And now, she is left to compete in the 25 m Air Pistol event. but before that, Bhaker has a couple of days before her precision qualifying and rapid qualifying.
Manu Bhaker eyes Treble!
There is a good chance for Bhaker to win her third medal in Paris Olympics. Already brimming with confidence, she will be raring to go in the 25 m Air pistol qualifiers. On the flip side, she will once again have the expectations of the entire country on her shoulders.
Especially after 2 bronze medals, 1.4 billion Indians will be desperate to see her on the top step of the podium with the coveted gold medal. But, Manu won’t have it easy. It is the Olympics after all. The prangs of missing the gold on both occasion this time will surely be on the back of her mind, but she would also be elated with 2 bronze medals.
