Canelo Alvarez will be defending his undisputed super-middleweight title against John Ryder at the Akron Stadium in Guadalajara, Mexico on the 6th of May. Canelo will be returning to Mexico for the fight after more than eleven years.
After defeating fierce opponent Gennadiy Golovkin in their three-fight series in Las Vegas in September, Canelo (58-2-2, 39 KOs) defends his Undisputed Crown for the second time. In November 2021, Canelo stopped Caleb Plant in the 11th round to win the IBF title in the same city.
The highly awaited match between Saul “Canelo” Alvarez and John Ryder for the undisputed world super-middleweight championship is just a few days away.

All combatants on the entire schedule will be required to officially weigh in the day before fight night, the big spectacle on Saturday. Prior to their respective fights taking place, every fighter on the Canelo vs. Ryder undercard, as well as the main event participants themselves, must meet their weight requirements.
Next Friday, May 5, is the official weigh-in show. The weigh-ins, which start at 2 p.m. EST, must weigh each fighter on the card.
