But for the entire evening, Bivol destroyed the Mexican boxer and upset the whole boxing world with his stellar act. Alvarez was unable to match Bivol’s range and speed and he defeated him quite easily.

Canelo Alvarez won against GGG

Canelo went on to face Galovkin “GGG” for the third time in his career to wipe the bitter scar on his career left by his devastating loss to Bivol in his first fight of the year. The highly regarded boxer from Kazakhstan arrived in Las Vegas to compete at T-Mobile Arena.

Unlike the first two times, this was a one-sided battle where Canelo dominated it throughout and, once again, he overpowered Golovkin. It is interesting to know that Canelo is the only boxer to defeat Golovkin in his career and he did it not just once but twice and still he is undefeated in their rivalry as the 1st match got drawn.

For those who are unaware, Messi seems to mistakenly kick a Mexico jersey in a video that went viral following the match versus Mexico. He then became enraged with him and tweeted about him trading blows. Later on, nevertheless, he acknowledged that he was mistaken and gave the Argentinian side and Messi praise for their triumph.

Alvarez got honored in Mexico with a statue
