Canelo’s final two fights in his three-fight contract will take place in May and September 2024. It’s unknown if Canelo (59-2-2, 39 KOs), who had already worked with Matchroom promoter Eddie Hearn in recent years, chose to accept a three-fight contract out of pure financial consideration.

Canelo Alvarez Demeaned To Lose All 3 Of His Next Boxing Fights with PBC Worth $100 Million
Canelo fought John Ryder, Billy Joe Saunders, Avni Yildirim, and Dmitry Bivol in his catastrophic fight with Hearn. Canelo would have had the choice between a rematch with Bivol and Edgar Berlanga if he had remained with Hearn. Canelo intended to beat Bivol, but due to an injured left wrist and poor training preparation, he wasn’t ready for that style.
Given his depressing options, Canelo signing a three-fight contract with Premier Boxing Champions is hardly surprising. The adage “All that glitters isn’t gold” applies here, though. Although Canelo receiving over $100 million for his three-fight agreement is fantastic, there are drawbacks as well.
Canelo Alvarez Demeaned To Lose All 3 Of His Next Boxing Fights with PBC Worth $100 Million- “John Ryder Went 12”
Canelo has been demeaned, as per a retweet made of Hamed’s tweet on Twitter that reads, “ If John Ryder went 12 with Canelo it’s safe to say Canelo might LOSE all 3.“
He might lose against one, two, or perhaps all of the three opponents he confronts with PBC, which would be awful for both him and the organisation since they would be forced to foot the bill for the fights’ astronomical costs.
Canelo would have been reasonably safe against Berlanga, who many fans believe to be a creation of hype and who would be a straightforward victory for the Mexican star if he had stayed with Hearn. In other words, Canelo would be protected by Hearn, who would effectively match him to prolong his winning streak.
