Men’s Draw
Daniil Medvedev leads the draw
Fresh after winning the Citi Open, World No.1 Daniil Medvedev leads the first quarter at Canadian Open. Medvedev is the top seed and he has been given a bye to the second round. He will begin his campaign by facing the winner between Sebastian Baez and Nick Kyrgios. The other seeded player in this quarter is Hubert Hurkacz, the eighth seed. He has also received a bye and will play against Emil Ruusuvuori. 12th seed Diego Schwartzman, 16th seed Grigor Dimitrov, David Goffin are also part of this quarter.

Third seed Stefanos Tsitsipas is the top seed in the third quarter. He has received a bye to the second round and will be facing a qualifier to begin his campaign. The other seeded player in this part of the draw is Jannik Sinner. The Italian is the seventh seed and he will also begin his campaign in the second round by facing a qualifier.
11th seed Matteo Berrettini, who is in good form this year will be a tough challenger for Sinner as both the players are likely to face each other in the third round. Berrettini will be facing Pablo Carreno Busta in the opening round. 17th seed Gael Monfils is the next seeded player. The 17th seed will face Pedro Martinez in the first round.
Carlos Alcaraz in final quarter
19-year old Carlos Alcaraz is the second seed in this tournament and he will lead the final quarter of the Men’s Singles draw. He will face the winner between Vasek Pospisil and Tommy Paul in the second round. Fifth seed Andrey Rublev is lilely to set up a juicy quarterfinal contest against Alcaraz. Rublev will face either Filip Krajinovic or Dan Evans in the second round.
Andy Murray also finds himself in this quarter and he faces 10th seed Taylor Fritz in the first round. Marin Cilic is also in this quarter. He is the 13th seed and will be up against Borna Coric in the first round.
Women’s Draw

World No.1 Iga Swiatek is the top seed in this tournament and she will be in the first quarter of the draws. After her win streak this year came to an end at Wimbledon, Swiatek played in the Poland Open where she faced quarterfinal exit. She will look to get back to her best ahead of the US Open this year. She will face Veronika Kudermetova or Ajla Tomljanovic in the second round.
Eighth seed Garbine Muguruza is the next big seed in this quarter. She faces either Kaia Kanepi or Naomi Osaka in the second round. 13th seed Leylah Fernandez meanwhile is making her return to the circuit after French Open and she is likely to face Swiatek in the third round.
Maria Sakkari and Ons Jabeur headline second quarter
Third seed Maria Sakkari is the top seed in the second quarter of the draw and the Greek will face Sloane Stephens in the second round. Fifth seed Ons Jabeur is the other top player in this quarter and the Tunisian, who has reached the second round directly will meet either Qinwen Zheng or Rebecca Marino in the second round.
11th seed Daria Kasatkina will meet Bianca Andreescu in the first round and both the players are part of this quarter. 14th seed Karolina Pliskova is the other seeded player. She has defeated Barbora Krejcikova in the first round and reached the second round.
Badosa leads third quarter
Paula Badosa is the fourth seed in the tournament and the 24-year old leads the third quarter of the draws. She has received a direct bye to the second round and will be up against Yulia Putintseva. Seventh seed Jessica Pegula is the next big seed in this quarter and the American will be up against Asia Muhammad in the second round. Ninth seed Emma Raducanu also finds herself in this quarter and she will face defending Champion Camila Giorgi in the opening round.
Anett Kontaveit headlines final quarter
Second seed Kontaveit leads the final quarter of the draws. She has received a bye to the second round and will be up against Jill Teichmann. Sixth seed Aryna Sabalenka is the next big seed and she will face either Sara Sorribes Tormo or Claire Liu in the second round. 10th seed Coco Gauff and former World No.1 Simona Halep make this quarter interesting. Gauff will face compatriot Brengle in the first round, while Halep has entered the second round after defeating Donna Vekic in the first round.
When will the Canadian Open 2022 be played?
The tournament will begin on 9th August and the finals is scheduled to be played on 14th August, Sunday.
