The 30-year-old Prannoy is continuing to scale new peaks after a fantastic season in 2023. Prannoy reached the eighth spot in the rankings by the end of 2022. This is his best-ever ranking in his career. It is to be noted that at the start of 2022, the shuttler from Kerala was ranked World No.26.

Though he failed to in a title, he made deep runs in several top-level tournaments. His best performance came in the Swiss Open in which he finished as runner-up. He also made it to the semifinals at the Malaysia Masters and Indonesia Open. He was the only Indian to feature in the BWF World Tour final finale this year. He however bowed out from  group stage. In the upcoming season, he is aiming to carry forward his form.
