Bukayo Saka New Contract: Bukayo Saka has been pivotal for Arsenal’s tremendous form in recent times. He is the club’s third-highest goalscorer this season. Bukayo Saka has scored 13 goals in the Premier League this season and 14 goals throughout all competitions. Only Martin Odegaard and Gabriel Martinelli have scored more goals than him for Arsenal. Even then, both Odegaard and Martinelli are tied for the top scorers’ spot with 15 goals throughout all competitions. This has been Saka’s best goal-scoring stat in a single season in his career. Arsenal have profited from this majorly as they’re chasing the Premier League title after 19 years.

Odegaard still has more than 2 years left in his contract. Whereas, Arsenal approached Martinelli and earlier in February, signed him on a 4.5-year deal, till June, 2027. As Saka’s contract expires at the end of next season, Arsenal started working on talks of a new deal with him at the start of this year. Reportedly, the two parties are now close to agreeing on a deal. Apparently, this deal will be huge for Saka as according to the new deal, he will become Arsenal’s topmost earner.

Currently, the highest earner’s post is held by Arsenal’s last summer signing from Manchester City, Gabriel Jesus. As per reports, Jesus earns £250,000 per week. Reportedly, Saka’s salary will go beyond that amount as he will be earning his current salary’s quadruple amount. Saka currently earns £70,000 per week. That amount will supposedly increase to a whopping £300,000 per week. However, more details regarding the new deal are yet to be revealed.

Saka has helped the team a great deal this season to reach the top of the table. His current performance justifies the new salary. Coach Mikel Arteta spoke about the improvements in the player. He said, “He is deciding football matches more often and he has good team-mates at Arsenal and England and that is an important thing to have when you play in attacking positions. I don’t know [if there is anyone in better form].”

He added, “We try to assess the players we have. He is in exceptional form, he is full of confidence and physically in the right condition and he is providing to the team exactly what he needs. So he needs to continue to do that.”

Arsenal are also trying to sign the talented defender William Saliba and regular goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale on new long-term deals. As per reports, their key player Ramsdale will similarly receive a remarkable increase in his salary which is currently a little over £61,000 per week.
