Previously, on WrestleMania 39, Cody Rhodes went up against Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship. Though Rhodes gave his all to the match, Roman Reigns retained his title. Later in the post-show conference, Triple H mentioned that the story wasn’t finished yet. He said that the story would continue on WWE Raw this week. Now, on Raw, Brock Lesnar has turned against Cody Rhodes. With that, speculations are going on of whether it is Triple H seeking vengeance against Rhodes.
Is Triple H seeking vengeance against Cody Rhodes with this storyline?
It all dates back to 2016 when Cody Rhodes left WWE. Later Cody Rhodes promoted the 2 018’s All in PPV event. This event had over 11,000 fans in attendance, and the success of the event eventually led to the formation of AEW. Also, Lesnar turned on Rhodes. He mentioned that Rhodes shouldn’t have broken the throne. This might refer to when Cody Rhodes broke Triple H’s throne during an AEW event.
Remember when it was implied there wasn’t a war between AEW and WWE? Well Cody Rhodes just destroyed a Triple H-like throne with a sledgehammer during his entrance. Shots fired? I’d say so. pic.twitter.com/xXjvtrvCyh
