Reports emerged over the last week that Brad Pitt-starrer F1 movie shooting was halted due to a huge strike in Hollywood. However, as per the latest updates, the film’s shooting is continuing at the upcoming Hungarian GP weekend. After an exceptional presence in Silverstone, the Joseph Kosinski-led group is all set for some on-track action at the Hungaroring F1 circuit.
The movie has been a topic of discussion among fans and the F1 juggernauts for various reasons over the the past year. F1 legend Lewis Hamilton is working closely with the top management of the movie as an advisor. The Briton is determined to deliver a script that is as close as it gets to the life and reality of being an F1 pilot. Moreover, many fans are also excited to witness his possible small cameo.
Though the chances of this happening are slim, fans have held their hopes high. Moreover, just like at the British GP, we are expecting style banners in Hungaroring above the two garages donning the names of Pitt’s character Sonny Hayes and his teammate Joshua Pierce. The production team is closely working with the F1 management to make it happen.

The upcoming yet-to-be-named movie is a highly exciting one for motorsports fans across the world. F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali recently said that the film will have a Drive to Survive-like effect on the sport. Moreover, the logistical effort going into this film is unheard of in the art of motorsports-themed films.
Recently, clouds of uncertainty surrounded the shooting of the Brad Pitt movie. Last week, there was a strike by the Screen Actors Guild and the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) labor union. However, the latest report suggests that there is no impact of the same on the making of the current film.
As per the news platform Planet F1, “more on-track filming is expected but “will be handled by stand-ins”. The shooting at the Hungaroring will be pretty on similar lines to the Silverstone schedule. Two professional drivers will take the wheel of the fictional APXGP team in Hungary. Most importantly, the Hungarian GP chapter of the shooting will proceed as usual.
