George Kambosos Jr. vs Maxi Hughes was a top fight last night in a big IBF World Title Eliminator bout. As expected, the Ferocious Emperor secured his victory last night, defeating Maxi Hughes with a majority decision win. Unfortunately, the fans showed disagreement with judges’ decision after Hughes clearly overpowered the former unified champion in maximum rounds. The released scores clearly showed who would have gone home with the win, but the aftermath results were devastating for the fans to digest.

Following the results, the fans in attendance booed Kambosos Jr., who struggled to fight his opponent. Since the start, Hughes had a clear hand on the match as he pushed the former champion into the corner. The match featured notable moments where Kambosos Jr. struggled to land a decisive blow on his opponent. Moreover, this was his first time facing a Southpaw fighter in the last 9 years.

Recently, fans showed their criticism for the judges who scored an upsetting loss for the UK native. Many fans reacted and supported Hughes’ who showed displeasure during the post-fight interview. Shakur Stevenson Labels George Kambosos Jr. victory a robbery

George Kambosos Jr. won his first fight since back-to-back defeats to Devin Haney. His fight against the southpaw Maxi Hughes was clearly one-sided until the final decision sided with him. However, many are not happy with this controversial decision. One of them was Shakur Stevenson.

During the post-fight interview, Shakur Stevenson, who attended the bout as a fan, gave his views on the fight. When asked about his thoughts, he clearly labeled this fight a robbery as the judges scored the fight to Kambosos Jr.

He said, ” It was a robbery. I thought Maxi, uh, boxed well, and I thought he was a better fighter.”

He further added that the judges should be more focused as the boxers and should clearly examine themselves in order to put themselves as a judge for any fight.
