BBL 2021 – Big Bash League NIKE – US sportswear brand Nike exited the sport of cricket in year 2020 after they ended their long-standing relationship of more than 16 years with Indian cricket. But the brand is back in the sport – this time as the official apparel partner of the Big Bash League.

Cricket Australia has named NIKE as official partner of the league for the forthcoming season. The deal, which covers both the men’s and women’s BBL, will see Nike designed training and support kits for all eight teams competing in the T20 competition.

BBL 2021 NIKE: Alistair Dobson, Cricket Australia’s head of Big Bash Leagues, described the deal as a “major milestone moment” in the history of the tournament.

He added: “Over the past decade, the Big Bash Leagues have connected a new generation of fans with cricket. As the leagues enter their second decade, this partnership with Nike looks to inspire the next generation of athletes and fans both on and off the field.

“The League, along with all eight clubs, welcomes Nike to our valued group of partners. Their values align with the DNA of the Big Bash and we can’t wait to work together over the coming seasons.”

BBL 2021 NIKE: Nike joins a portfolio of BBL partners that also includes the likes of KFC, Rebel, Toyota and BKT Tires, among others. Cricket Australia added that details of the first Nike BBL apparel range will be released in October ahead of the 2021/22 season getting underway.

NIKE Indian Cricket: Earlier in year 2020 NIKE decided to end their relationship with Indian cricket as their official partner and MPL Sports took their position.
