BGMS Week 2 Finals Day 1 Highlights: Week 2 Finals of India’s first-ever televised esports event, the BGMI Masters Series got underway today. Team Goldlike has finally come back to their usual best as they are leading at the top with 47 points from 4 matches while Rivalry Esports, OR Esports, Chemin, and Orangutan are within touching distance.

Top-tier teams were scrutinized due to their Week 2 Qualifiers performances earlier. However, those teams immediately responded in the opening match of the Weekly finals. It was played on the Erangle map.
Popular teams started the game cautiously opting out from early exchanges. The match was getting more intense as Godlike made inroads. However, the positioning of Team Xspark was ideal as they wiped out Omega and Goblin to eliminate Team SouL.
The final battle took place between OR Esports and Team Xspark. With numeric superiority, Team Xspark was on course for the chicken dinner but OR Esports led by Attanki and Aaru has done something out of the box to claim the WWCD. Jonathan of Godlike was the MVP of the match.

The next match was played on the Sanhok map. The intensity and quality of the teams were going up a notch as each match progressed. As usual, Sanhok did not disappoint. Once again teams like Nigma Galaxy, Chemin, and XO continued their consistency as they secured a good chunk of position points.
On the other hand, the match had yet another intriguing finish to the game. After the elimination of OR, XO became the favorite to win as they had numerical superiority. Eventually, XO did justice through Punkk who eliminated Xmax of Nigma in a one v one battle and secured WWCD. Attanki was the MVP of the match.

Match 3:
The third match of the day was played on the Miramar map. Teams who can use a hill or height advantage always have a good chance to secure the victory. From the get-go, Team Godlike was looking focused as they had control of the zone and rotating well.
Once again Team SouL failed to meet the expectations while Team Godlike picked up the consistency just at the right moment. Meanwhile, the numerical superiority and positioning of Rivalry were on a different level as they had a 4v2 against Godlike. Zgod and Jonathan tried to put up some resistance but they couldn’t stop Rivalry who bagged a comprehensive chicken dinner. Admino of Rivalry was the MVP of the match.

The final match of the day was played on the Erangle map. The positioning and tactical awareness are playing a huge part as top teams are prioritizing the position points. Once again, Chemin was consistent to rank 3rd.
Team Orangutan had improved after every game as they finished the Week 2 Qualifiers with a bang. They looked dominant throughout the final match rotating to control the zone. Eventually, the final battle featured Rivalry Esports and Orangutan. With numerical superiority and more firepower, Orangutan pushed and WizzGod and co finished off in style to secure WWCD. WizzGOD was the MVP of the match.

Team Godlike has finally made its way back into the competition with consistent performances. They currently top the chart with 47 points from 4 matches. Following them are Rivalry Esports, OR Esports, Chemin Esports, and Orangutan with 45, 45, 44, and 43 points respectively.
