The three-day Esports extravaganza featured intense matches and passionate fans, highlighting the growing prominence of Esports in India. With over 5000 spectators in attendance, the biggest battle royale Esports tournament in India elevated the Esports experience for fans in an unprecedented manner.

Abhinav Bindra, India’s ace shooter and first individual Olympic gold medallist, graced the final day of BGIS 2024. KRAFTON India’s steadfast commitment to fostering Esports talent and growing the collective sporting community in India took centre stage as the proceeds from the Elite pass sale, INR 25 lakhs was donated to the Abhinav Bindra Foundation, ensuring access to sporting best practices to athletes.

Accepting the contribution, Bindra expressed his enthusiasm “I’m thrilled to be here witnessing the rise of Esports in India and Indian teams becoming part of global tournaments like Asian Games. I  have immense respect for gamers. The physical training, nutrition, mental prowess, and recovery time required are some of the commonalities between conventional sports and Esports. Both can learn a great deal from each other. I’m also grateful for KRAFTON and the Esports community’s support towards the Abhinav Bindra Foundation. Our foundation aims to foster sporting excellence and inclusivity. We run programs such as scholarship initiatives, surgeries for athletes, mental health support for athletes, and more.”
