Match 7

Owasis has been an outstanding leader for Team Forever in the tournament so far, and he shined the brightest on the first match of the final day. The southern shift of the circle forced all the heavyweights like Team X Spark and Godlike to take shelter near the wreckage of the planes at the bottom of the Military Base. Owasis baited and waited for others to misstep as well as kept all his men alive. However, Zgod from Godlike, needs some real credit for sneaking his team to a second-place finish alone amid the cluster of teams. Securing 25 points from this match from the first match of the day, Team Forever took a huge lead at the top of the table.

Match 8

The second match came down to an intense 3v4 face-off between Godlike Esports and Team XO. Trying to create some off angles, Jonathan and ClutchGod were seen punished for their risky flanks. When the entire responsibility came down to Zgod, the man again improvised a lot and held the top of a shade for an extended period of time while poking Team XO players relentlessly. Nevertheless, he was eliminated after another set of commendable efforts. The rivalry between Team Forever and Team XO started to become very serious as the latter again caught up to them with 27 points from the match. However, riding on the reliable shoulders of Zgod, Godlike Esports was reigning supreme at the table due to their top consistent performance.

Match 11

Another Miramar, and another intense 3v3 showdown between Team XO and Team X Spark. But how Punk came out with that beautiful play using a tiny cover of one buggy while being sprayed down by three hungry men from X Spark, will be remembered as one of the most iconic moments of the BGIS: The Grind series. This man alone brought back his team in the fight from the brink of collapse. Hats off to such incredible timing and precision. Team XO took a leap of 26 points from the match.

Match 12

The final match of the BGMI: The Grind series was the decider one. With all the top 5 teams breathing at each other’s neck, most of these also managed to survive till the Farm side end circle. The finale was an intense three-way clash between Godlike Esports, Team XO and TSM where Team XO reigned superior over the Godlike players and eliminated them in the third place. Aquanox, the solo survivor of team TSM took one daring last stand against the XO players and almost brought down all the players to a slither of hp. However, it was still not enough as Team XO claimed the third chicken dinner of the day, scoring a total of 25 points from the match.

Compared to their glorious run in the league stage, the finals were full lack lustre performances from both Hyderbad Hydras and Orangutan Gaming. And what is more disheartening than to see SouL finishing at the very bottom of the table? Neverthless, we wish them all the best and may they come back stronger once the real event begins – BGIS: 2021.
