BCCI vs PCB LIVE: BCCI Top brass is ‘very upset’ with comments made by the former PCB chief Ramiz Raja recently in an interview. As per Raja, the Indian mindset is to curtail the progress of Pakistan cricket. The 60-year-old was quoted saying, “Unfortunately, what’s happening with India (BCCI) is that there is this BJP mindset over there.”  The statement hasn’t gone down well with the top brass of BCCI to whom InsideSport spoke to. One of the top BCCI officials slammed Ramiz Raja by calling him a ‘Frustrated Man’. Follow Indian Cricket Team LIVE & India vs Pakistan LIVE updates with InsideSport.IN

“Unfortunately, what’s happening with India is that there is this BJP mindset over there. The properties that I had announced, be it the PJL or the Pakistan Women’s League, were done so that we could have our own money-making assets that would fund the Pakistan Cricket Board, which would take us away from the ICC’s funding, which is crucial right now,” said Raja.

He then added, “Our independence gets compromised because most of ICC’s resources are created in India. If India’s mindset is to marginalise Pakistan then we remain neither here nor there.”

InsideSport spoke to a BCCI official who clearly showed his displeasure.

“He is just a frustrated man. He doesn’t apply any logic before blurting out things. Extremely upsetting to see him mixing politics with cricket. He has done this in past and he will keep doing the same in future. We are not at all bothered by his statements,” a top BCCI official told InsideSport.

While speaking to a crowd at the Government College University in Lahore, Raja made the aforementioned comments.

Raja further said that he had discussed the matter with the cricket boards of Australia and England, pleading with them to assume control at the ICC, cricket’s governing body, in order to protect Pakistan’s interests.

“I made my position clear on this. If the ACC has nominated us to hold an Asian tournament and if India says one fine day that we won’t go to Pakistan and the Asia Cup will also be taken from here, then all I said was that we have options too.”
