Even though the fever is high for the Cricket World Cup, it’s time for Indian cricket fans to take sides. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has set a November 26 deadline for franchises to submit list of retained and released players’ list before (Indian Premier League) IPL 2024 Auction. Currently, IPL 2024 trading window is open but with a focus on WC, there has been no movement so far.
Unlike last time, IPL 2024 Auction will be a one-day affair. And for the first time, the auction will move abroad, most likely in Dubai on December 19.
It will be a mini-auction before the mega auction in 2024 December. However, like all mini-auctions, a lot of attention will be on players’ salaries.
IPL Auction 2024 All You Need to Know

- Before that, BCCI has asked franchises to submit a list of released and retained players by Nov 26.
- All franchises will have Rs 100 Crore salary purse for the auction, an increment of 5 Cr compared to last season.
