Afghani pacer Naveen claimed the Aussie decision was childish and wrote that instead of supporting them, they are backing off.
Naveen’s tweet was retweeted by Melbourne Renegades Mujeeb Ur Rahman. The 23 Naveen also said in a tweet that he will be no longer featuring in the BBL 2023. Naveen play’s for the Sydney Sixers. Adelaide Strikers’ Rashid Khan has also criticised Cricket Australia with his post on social media and announced no further participation in BBL.

Cricket Australia said in a statement that The Australian men’s team will not play against Afghanistan in a scheduled three-match ODI series in the UAE in March, After recent announcements by the Taliban restricting the freedom of women and girls in Afghanistan” CA said in their statement. They further added that Australian cricket is committed to supporting growing the game for women and men around the world, including in Afghanistan, and will continue to engage with the Afghanistan Cricket Board in anticipation of improved conditions for women and girls in the country.
