After a fantastic passing move through the middle, Robert Lewandowski found Gavi with a stunning backheel flick, and Gavi provided Ansu Fati an easy finish to start the party in the Catalan capital. Unfortunately, the supporters at Camp Nou who were a bit late to enter the stadium missed this goal.
For this game, Barça was back to their best, moving the ball fast and purposefully to find openings within Mallorca’s 5-4-1 low block and creating lots of chances. When Amath Ndiaye was dismissed for a terrible tackle that wounded Alejandro Balde and reduced the visitors to 10 men, things were even simpler for them as the home team began to dominate more.
A wonderful Lewandowski assist, another excellent passing play, and Ansu Fati’s second goal of the game enabled the second goal to be scored midway through the time. Fati and Lewandowski persisted in their attacks and proceeded to forge memorable moments for themselves and others, but Barça’s attempts at a third goal were thwarted by a mixture of bad finishing and some outstanding saves from Mallorca custodian Dominik Greif.

More of the same from Barça in the second half as they continued to press for more goals against a defenceless Mallorca. However, early in the second half, the ball simply refused to go in.
Jules Kounde headed a ball against the crossbar, Ousmane Dembélé’s header was cleared off the line, and Lewandowski came dangerously close to scoring with a superb free kick but the ball struck the post once again.
After Dembélé’s ball found Gavi inside the area, the kid unleashed a left-footed rocket into the top corner to give Barça the goal their second-half effort merited. It first appeared as though the third goal would never arrive.
After the victory was assured, it was time to shed some tears. Camp Nou said goodbye to Jordi Alba and Sergio Busquets, who both broke down as they were substituted in their final home matches for the club and received standing ovations from the supporters, their teammates, and even Mallorca players and coaches — which was a nice touch.
