It was Dembele who finally found the breakthrough in t 40 minutes. Sergi Roberto broke free and whipped up a cross on the right. It was brilliantly finished by the Frenchman to give Barcelona the lead going into halftime.
Coming from the first half, it took Nico Barella only five minutes to find the equalizer. A delivery from Bastoni is finished off with a half volley. A few minutes later, Lautaro Martinez put the visitors ahead with a stamping goal. They almost looked to have taken home the points. However, Lewandowski soon canceled the goal out. The concluding minutes of the game saw two back-to-back goals from Robin Gosens and Lewandowski for their sides. It was Gosens who put Inter Milan ahead with one minute of regulated time. However, Lewandowski scored in the added time to bring home a point.
