No sooner did Bangladesh openers- Mohammad Naim (9) and Soumya Sarkar (0) take the crease, they tumbled without giving a promising start. Soon, the responsibility in the low-scoring chase fell on Shakib al Hasan (26) and Mahedi Hasan (23) who also failed to stabilize Bangladesh after the early jolt. After the Tigers skipper- Mahmudullah (0) departed without scoring any runs, the hosts were in serious trouble. Just when the ship looked to be anchoring in Australia’s direction, Hossain (37) and Nurul’s (22) partnership turned the tables in Bangladesh’s favour.
While Mitchell Starc sent defined Soumya Sarkar’s way to the pavilion, he was otherwise uneconomical in the match (economy- 9.3). Among the visitors bowling unit, Ashton Agar returned the most economical- 4.20 and scalped a wicket.

Bangladesh beat Australia 2nd T20I: Afif Hossain, Nurul Hasan lead Bangladesh to a 5-wicket win, lead series 2-0
Winning the toss and choosing to bat first, Australia little capitalized their toss luck as their openers Josh Philippe (10) and Alex Carey (11) were off to a poor start. After losing both the openers early, Mitchell Marsh (45) and Moises Henriques (30) managed to stabilize their jolted side as the duo jammed a little 50-run partnership. Thereafter, wickets fell in quick succession for the Kangaroos who managed to put just 121 runs at the end of their innings.
Mitchell Marsh top-scored again but unfortunately Bangladesh won again.
