Ashwini Ponnappa-Tanisha Crasto: Road to Success
Ashwini, aged 34, and her 20-year-old partner Tanisha have enjoyed a stellar debut season as a pair. Their decisive straight-game triumph over Chinese Taipei’s Sung Shuo Yun and Yu Chien Hui in the final cemented their victory at the Guwahati Masters on Sunday.
In recent months, the performance of the Indian women’s doubles pair, Ashwini Ponnappa and Tanisha Crasto, has been exceptional. They achieved a significant milestone by securing their first BWF World Tour title at the Abu Dhabi Masters 2023 in October. Prior to this triumph, the duo also claimed victory at the Nantes International Challenge in Reze, France.
Their journey to success began at the Syed Modi International (BWF 300), where they reached the final.
