Babar Azam & Co. have lost three matches on trot
Earlier reports had hinted at the Pakistan skipper expressing dissatisfaction with the performances of senior players, leading to a spirited exchange with Shaheen Afridi. This exchange apparently required the intervention of wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Rizwan to mediate the situation. Pakistan have lost the last three matches putting their World Cup 2023 campaign at risk.
In response, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) “strongly” denied recent speculations about any internal discord in the national cricket team currently participating in World Cup 2023.
“Contrary to rumours circulated by a certain section of the media, the PCB unequivocally assures that the team is cohesive and there is no evidence to support these unsubstantiated claims,” the statement added.
