After winning the title last year, Casper Ruud makes his return to the tournament as the top seed. He is in the first quarter of the draw and has received a direct bye to the second round. He will be facing the winner between Juan Pablo Varillas and Carlos Taberner in the second round of the tournament. Ruud is likely to face third seed Roberto Bsutista Agut in the semifinals.
Seventh seed Pedro Martinez who was the runner up at the tournament last year finds himselfin the first quarter this time and he is the seventh seed. He will face wildcard entrant Nicolas Jarry in the first round.
Roberto Bautista Agut headlines second quarter
Spaniard Roberto Bautista Agut, who is the third seed leads the second quarter of the draws. He has been given a bye to the second round. He will either face a qualifier or wildcard entrant Jurij Rodionov in the second round.
The only other seeded player in this quarter is eighth seed Joao Sousa. Sousa will begin his campaign against Marton Fucsovics as both the players will face each other in the first round.
Aslan Karatsev & Albert Ramos Vinolas lead third quarter
Fourth seed Aslan Karatsev leads the third quarter of the draws. Karatsev has advanced directly to the second round. The Russian is entering the tournament after bowing out from the quarterfinals at Hamburg Open. He will be facing either Lorenzo Sonego or Dusan Lajovic in the second round.
Meanwhile, Albert Ramos Vinolas is also in the same quarter. He is the fifth seed in the tournament and he will face compatriot Pablo Andujar in the first round.
Wildcard entrant Filip Misolic is the other player in this quarter, He will be facing a qualifier in the first round.
Matteo Berrettini headlines fourth quarter
Matteo Berrettini is a man who is in terrific form at the moment and having reached the final at the Gstaad Open after recovering from Covid 19, which made him miss the Wimbledon this year, the Italian will now look to continue his good performance at the Austrian Open. Berrettini has got a direct bye to the second round and he will face the winner between Yannick Hanfmann and a qualifier in the second round.
Local favourite Dominic Thiem will also be participating in his home tournament and he is in the fourth quarter. He will begin his campaign against Richard Gasquet. Tallon Griekspoor is the only other seeded player in this quarter and he will be facing a qualifier in the first round.

The tournament will begin on 25th July and the finals is scheduled to be played on 31st July, Sunday.
