In the men’s qualifying draws, Alejandro Tabilo is the top seed. The Chilean is aiming to reach the main draw at the Australian Open for the first time in his career. Other top seeds are Italy’s Marco Cecchinato, third seed Radu Albot, Emilio Estrada and Juan Varillas.
Meanwhile, the Women’s Singles qualifying draw is led by USA’s Alicia Parks. Czech’s Linda Noskova, Slovakia’s Anna Schmiedlova, Christina Bucsa from Spain are the other top seeds who are eyeing a spot in the main round. None of the Indians could make it to the qualifying draws.
As many as 15 Men’s Singles players from Australia are looking to enter the main draw. Aleksandar Vukic is the highest-ranked Australian contender in the men’s singles draw. Former World No.46 James Duckworth too finds himself in the qualifying round.
