Chasing a mammoth target of 201, Australia struggled throughout. It was Tim Southee rattled them in the powerplay as the hosts went down to 37/3 in the powerplay. While Marcus Stoinis and Glenn Maxwell tried rebuilding, Mitchell Santner and Trent Boult joined the bandwagon. Australians struggled against Kiwi spinners.
